Preston-Hopkinson was established in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1949, pioneering the art of developing photographic images onto porcelain plates. Our Fotoware™ Commemorative Plates are known the world over and are still being produced. Our art files date back to the founding of the company and undoubtedly contain the photographs of many historic buildings and sacred churches that are now but a memory. Antique Fotoware™ plates can be found on the secondary market in hundreds of antique shops and on Internet auction sites such as eBay.
The company moved to Appomattox, Virginia, where it thrived for many years until its purchase by Robert Stovall, who moved the business back to Lynchburg. Mr. Stovall added many more products to complement his line of Fotoware™ Commemorative Plates and purchased the company's first computer.
In 1996, Preston-Hopkinson was purchased yet again, this time by Southern Flavoring Company, whose roots in fundraising for churches and civic organizations go back to 1929. The company was moved to Bedford, Virginia in 1998 after a fire in the building that it occupied.
Still proud of its Fotoware™ Commemorative Plate line, the company has now added many more custom commemorative products such as Custom Ceramic Tile Plaques, Ceramic Mugs, Canvas Tote bags, CustomCraft Two-Year Planners, Custom-Woven Throws and much more.
The staff of Preston-Hopkinson consists of artists and customer service specialists who take great pride in their work and strive to please all of its customers in any way possible.
